Loren Erickson
Loren Erickson, PhD
Associate Professor

Loren received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Seattle Pacific University in 1991 and earned his Ph.D. in 1998 at the University of Iowa with Thomas Waldschmidt. He completed his postdoctoral training with Randy Noelle at Dartmouth Medical School in 2003, with support from an NRSA from NIAID and a fellowship award from the American Cancer Society. He became an Assistant Professor of Research at Dartmouth in 2003, with support from a COBRE grant from NCRR, and in 2005 joined the faculty at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Loren’s research interests focus on adaptive immunity with an emphasis in chronic inflammatory disorders that involve aberrant B cell function in disease pathogenesis.
