Olivia Bache

Undergraduate Student

Olivia Bache is from Alexandria, VA and is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Virginia, where she is studying for a BA in Cognitive Science and a minor in Biology. Olivia spends much of her time engaging with her community through hospice volunteering and running as a volunteer EMT in Crozet, VA. She was inspired by her patients and her undergraduate studies to pursue a deeper understanding of medicine and science, especially through research. She is excited to work with the Zegarra-Ruiz Lab and is eager to contribute to advancing our understanding of autoimmune disease.

Outside of the lab, Olivia loves to spend her time reading, crocheting fun projects, and walking the historic trails around Charlottesville.
