Aditi Shanbhag

Undergraduate Student

Aditi is from Northern Virginia and is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Virginia pursuing a degree in Applied Statistics and, prospectively, Global Public Health. She enjoys engaging with her community, whether it’s through her role as the community service chair for her sorority, volunteering with Madison House, or tutoring kids through a youth-focused nonprofit she co-founded. Fascinated by the field of nutrigenomics and its potential in precision medicine, she looks forward to exploring the interplay between diet, microbiome health, and disease risk in the lab.

Outside the lab, Aditi enjoys trying out new smoothie bowl recipes, going for runs, binging Grey's Anatomy, or playing a casual game of pickleball.
