Bita Soltani

Undergraduate Student

Bita Soltani is from Great Falls, VA, and is an undergraduate student at the University of Virginia, planning to study neuroscience. Bita spends a lot of time volunteering at medical institutions in her community and shadowing medical professionals. With this experience, she has found a passion for medicine and hopes to work as a medical professional in the future to help people in need. She is thankful for the opportunity to work in the Zegarra-Ruiz Lab and is anticipating making meaningful contributions and discoveries with autoimmune diseases.

Outside of the lab, Bita enjoys baking, reading, traveling, playing piano, going on walks, and hanging out with friends.
