The Human ImmunoPhenotyping Initiative (HIPI) aims to advance precision immunomedicine for the benefit of patients with hard-to-treat and incurable conditions, ranging from autoimmune diseases to neurodegenerative disorders. Our goal is to customize medical decisions, treatments, and practices for individual patients based on their unique immune phenotype – their personal immune fingerprint.
HIPI Seed Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis to fund teams of expert clinical and translational immunological investigators. Our goal is to help ensure the correct medical treatments reach the correct patients at the correct time. Interested faculty should review the Request for Proposals, available here: https://www.immunology.virginia.edu/hipi/request-for-proposals-hipi-seed-funding/
The HIPI mission is made possible by a generous donation from the Beirne Carter Foundation.
