Sarah Ewald, PhD, receives NIH-R35 Award to Study Cachexia

Sarah Ewald, PhD, CIC resident member and Associate Professor of Microbiology, Immunology, and Cancer Biology, was awarded a five-year, $2.35 million R35 grant from the NIH. These funds will allow the Ewald Lab to further study the role of the gut microbiome in cachexia, a chronic wasting disease. The award has been featured in this week’s Medicine in Motion.
